I turned 16 yrs. old in the county jail while facing the death penalty for murder, attempted murder, and aggravated robbery.
My 3rd grade school principal wrote a statement saying that I was a “gang leader and violent treat to society.” And he hoped I was prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
What I am writing now is not about those events or anything I have done, but about what has been done in my by the Lord, Jesus Christ.
“Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, to make his mighty power known.”
It is written that God has compassion on all that he has made, and that his steadfast love endures forever. It is my hope to express the goodness of God, to speak of the love he has for us, that even while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The sick, the lost, the blind, and the broken.
Christ died for everyone, not just a few. All who repent should find salvation through him.
“How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.”
We must humble ourselves in the anguish of our souls as Isaiah did. And in this crying out of our hearts to God, his love will heal and restore in a powerful way.
